This week has been pure madness, topped off with a crazy weekend.
As you know, we worked from home Monday-Wednesday, which was fun, but also exhausting. I actually don't think I like working from home. Weird, I know.
Then, we moved into our new offices Thursday-Friday. I will have pics of my new office next week...I want to show you the "all finished" look.
The original plan for this weekend was to leave immediately after work on Friday to drive to East Hampton, Long Island to see John's "rich side" of the family. This plan was the subject of much debate and indecision because we would have had to rush back on Sunday so that John could "get ready" for his big day on Monday...more on that later. Ultimately, though, the decision to call off the trip was made for us when John's Great Aunt Fran, who was to host us, broke her foot at the end of the week. I feel awful for her, but am a little thankful we ended up not going.
So, instead, we went down to Monticello, NY on Saturday to see John's Uncle Jimmy and his family and Aunt Rosanne and Richie. G had a good time playing with Jimmy's 2 kids.
She also warmed right up to Uncle Richie.
And had fun dancing with Uncle Jimmy.
And though she didn't want to go to Aunt Ro at first, she decided she wasn't so bad either after some coaxing.
We stayed down there for about 4 1/2 hours and played and ate. Then we said goodbye and drove home to Binghamton. To John's mom's house. Where we dropped G off to spend the night with Nana again. And her three cousins. It was very hard to leave G again after just leaving her last week. But, John and I had made a promise to a friend from work. So, we were off.
We went to Cyber Cafe to hear Magnolia Drive which is our friend Ken's band. Ken has asked us to come hear them several times over the summer, but we haven't been able to go, so...we kinda had to go last night. Gina met up with us there, after going to a wedding and possibly having a few drinks. She was rather outspoken about her feelings on "hippy dippy music." But we had fun. Mr. and Mrs. Sweetfern also met us at Cyber, so it was great to hang with them for a while.
Sunday morning, John and I got to sleep in till 10:30am!! That was nice! Off to the grocery store for a few things. Then it was back to John's mom's house to pick up G. She was happy to see us :)
...THEN, it was home again, for John to get ready for his big day on Monday. His big day involves a colonoscopy in Syracuse. At 7:30am. So, today he had to drink a gallon full of this sick, yellow, sticky, awful, lemonadey goo. YUM! And, after forcing that down (quite literally) he has spent the last 5 1/2 hours (and counting) running back and forth to the bathroom.
Meanwhile, I made more homemade applesauce and watched the Bills win their 4th straight game to leave them 4-0 for the season..one of only 3 teams!!!
And, G went away again :( My mother came and picked her up at about 6:30pm to take her home for the night. I gave her a bath just before she left. I put her in her jammies for the ride, and since her hair was wet, I put a pink fuzzy hat on her. OHHHH, I should have taken a pic! You HAD to see her in her warm, fuzzy, soft footy pjs and her pink hat! It was the absolute epitemy of cuteness!
But I am so sad to not have my little girl home for the second night in a row! Boo! However, remember how I said John has to be in Syracuse at 7:30? AM?! Yeah, so we have to leave home at 6am tomorrow. Yeah. Fun day.
So....is is Tuesday yet??
